Michael Pierce is a sports physiotherapist, founder and co-director of Lake Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine Centre. Michael worked in Outpatients at the Ballarat Base Hospital for 3 months in 1993 before taking a job in private practice at Newington Physiotherapy, where he worked for 8 years. He completed a postgraduate diploma in sports physiotherapy over 1997/1998 which included working with Geelong Football and at the Australian Institute of Sport. Michael specialises in the treatment of long distance runners and triathletes and has a particular interest in shoulders. He has travelled overseas and to the Sydney Olympics with marathon runners and continues to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries at both the elite and recreational level.
